Overview of the Release and Scope: GE Aerospace, Software as a Service is proud to perform a release for Asset Records New Web Scanning (ARC) Solution  26.2.5.  This code will be released to the production environment on Thursday, June 11th , 2026, at 2 AM EST.  This document details the changes made during this release.

2. Asset Records Scanner 26.2.5 Released Items: This section describes the feature functionality that is to be delivered in the release.

AR New Scanning 26.2.5 delivers a set of reliability and usability improvements designed to make scanning workflows smoother and more predictable. This release focuses on reducing interrupted work, improving upload completion behavior, and cleaning up several interface issues that could cause confusion during daily use.

Below are the details of the changes included in this release.

Bugs
  • More reliable batch uploads and transfer recovery
We improved the way ARC handles batch uploads so batches are less likely to remain stuck in an uploading state after files have already finished transferring. We also added stronger safeguards to prevent invalid upload states and made it easier to retry transfer-failed batches when previous cancellation attempts did not complete as expected.

  • Clearer and more accurate batch details in Batch Monitor (Manually Duplicated Batch)
Batch Monitor table now shows the correct user (originator) after a batch is duplicated, helping teams better understand who performed the manual batch duplication.

  • Better toast-message behavior during scanning
We fixed an issue where Scanning toast messages could continue spinning indefinitely instead of closing automatically after the action finished. This happened if a user hovered over or click the message.

  • Improved alignment and behavior in scan mode configuration
We corrected layout and state issues in scan mode setup, including better placement of empty-state messages, preventing already-associated scan modes from appearing again in selection lists, and preserving the computer link more reliably after refreshes.

Enhancements
  • Toast messages no longer block key scanning actions
We moved system toast messages so they no longer cover primary buttons such as Complete, Save and Close, Add Scan, and other main actions. This makes it easier to keep working without waiting for messages to disappear.

Known impact

This release is expected to improve stability in upload and scanning workflows and reduce common user interface distractions. Users may notice more consistent completion behavior, clearer notifications, and cleaner configuration screens, with no major workflow changes required.

Recommended validation after deployment

  • Confirm completed scans finish without remaining stuck in an upload state
  • Verify on-screen messages do not block primary action buttons
  • Test retry behavior for failed transfers
  • Confirm duplicated batches display the correct user information
  • Review scan mode configuration dialogs for correct available options and alignment
