AR New Scanning 24.2.5 Release Notes

Overview of the Release and Scope:  GE Digital Aviation Software performed a release for Asset Records New Web Scanning (ARC) Solution  24.4.5  This code was released to the production environment on Thursday, July 4th, 2024, at 2 pm CT.  This document details the changes made during this release.

  • New ARC Web Scan Domain 
    1. Enable a new dedicated domain, URL, for Asset records Capture (ARC)
    2. This will help to have a consistent SSO logging experience within our Asset Records Portfolio: RMS, ATS, ARC, MRO Connect, etc.

  • Image storage - Dynamsoft server side
    • A new version of our GE TWAIN Libray (enabled by Dynamosft) has been released, 18.5.
    • This allows to have local image storage and increase system performance.

 

This enabled a PC local storage of scanned images. Currently the system is leveraging the Browser storage, but if the browser cache is cleared images could be lost. This new local storage processing will avoid.

This also help with system performance to load and transfer images.

  • Bug Fixes & Enhancements 24.2.5
    • An error was thrown when the using was adding a scanner.
    • Specially if there was no Station of PC configured.
    • This was experienced at initial installation process or when a Station or computer was removed.
